Screaming Cat Ice Cream & Coffee – Unique Flavors & Cozy Vibes in Jacksonville, FL

We’ve been patiently waiting for Screaming Cat to open its doors & now that the wait is finally over I can easily say it was well worth it. The remodel is very clean & we love that they spent the time & effort fixing/keeping the original floors. The staff were super friendly & accommodating. I got the Salty Dough Boy milkshake and it was awesome, highly recommend! I wish I had sampled some of the dairy free options but I’ll have to wait & come back to try something else next time!

Went here with my partner when I was visiting Jacksonville and highly recommend it. It was genuinely the best ice cream we've ever had. I was a bit skeptical at first by how much they were hyping themselves up, but upon first bite we were blown away. They have a large variety of flavors, some of which are seasonal and branch out a bit from just ice cream and have some chai as well which is my absolute favorite so I'll have to try that next time. We both got the munchies ice cream and it was top notch and had a variety of great inclusions. The cake batter ice cream base is seriously a 10/10. Price was a bit on the higher end for two scoops, but portions were big which made up for it and staff was really kind. There's also at least one gym and a few PokeStop on Pokemon GO accessible from the shop so it's a nice place to chill for a bit and there's also some other cool shops nearby. All in all, I highly recommend and will be back next time I'm in Jacksonville. Thank you to the staff for being very kind. Seems like customer service down here as a whole is much better than Michigan, but this store specifically was a highlight! TLDR: Get this ice cream ASAP.

Visited Sunday June 8th, staff was very sweet two young girls! Lots of flavors I’ve never seen before, big variety. Kitty kitty bang bang is amazing. I love cats myself so it was a perfect visit.

Screaming Cat's ice cream is moderately priced at $6.50 for one scoop with a topping... Their milkshakes are expensive at $9. They seem to only have one option for dairy-free ice cream, the vanilla. It tasted wonderful. In a sprinkles on the ice cream or commercially purchased. Screaming cat uses paper cups and plastic spoons if that is one of the things that matters to you... They had three people working, but seemed a little overwhelmed and we're not overly friendly or welcoming, but there was nothing wrong with how they were other than they did not acknowledge you until they were trying to figure out if their coworker got your order or they needed to. Comparatively to their competitor, Mayday Ice cream, is noticeably less expensive with the same quality of ice cream... Their scoop with one topping is $5.75. Mayday makes their own sprinkles & waffle cones in house. Mayday uses biodegradable cups and biodegradable spoon. They offer multiple options dairy free, but not always consistent on if they have vanilla or chocolate dairy-free. The employees are more welcoming and attentive.

The 2 girls that work there were both smiling and both very nice, and they didn't mind that we wanted to do a taste test on a few of the icecreams. Also what my daughter & I thought was really cool & unique, & that honestly sets The Screaming Cat ice cream parlor apart from the rest, is that they have several board games/magazines in the seating area for customers to /look at while they sit & eat their ice cream Several different card games, battleship, uno, & even a wooden tic-tac-toe are a few of the games they had to choose from. Lastly, the selection of ice creams to choose from were also truly unique & varied. The Screaming Cat is highly recommended by us!

Absolutely phenomenal! Screaming Cat is hands down the go-to spot in the Riverside area. I came in for a treat and left completely blown away—the milkshake I had was easily the best I've ever tasted. Creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced, it's the kind of milkshake that sets the bar for every other place. The vibe is fun and welcoming, and the staff? Top-notch. Friendly, fast, and genuinely happy to be there, which just makes the experience even better. Whether you're local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by Screaming Cat. You won’t regret it—this place is a gem!

Stopped into Screaming Cat Ice Cream & Coffee in Riverside and ordered the Dreamcatcher with almond milk, which came served in a Boo Bucket for $9 — and it was absolutely worth it. I also tried the Apple Cider Chai, just under $6 for a medium, and it was the perfect cozy fall drink. The staff were so friendly and patient, answering all my questions and making sure everyone in the shop had a great experience. 10/10 for service, flavor, and (though I hate to use the word) the vibes. If you’re in Jacksonville, definitely make the stop in Riverside to check them out!

What a cute place in the perfect location in Riverside! It’s surrounded by yummy restaurants so it works great for an after meal treat or coffee or affogato . The staff was friendly and helpful and gave me oatmilk ice cream tastes per my request. Lots of yummy flavors. Not to mention, their ice is the BEST kind. It reminds me of my childhood ice cream shop. My kids will love this place!
